A Little Box of Calm in a Very Busy World.
Many of you know me through Good Evans Art, where I LOVE creating bespoke pieces, supporting businesses as well as gifts, and designs that celebrate life’s moments. As well as digital pet art.
Today I want to share something a little different…something very close to my heart. If you’re new here you are welcome.
I am branching out with a new project called ‘ANCHORED THOUGHTS’.
So…What does Anchored Thoughts actually mean?
The word ‘anchored’ comes from the idea of an anchor keeping a boat steady when the waters get rough. In terms of wellbeing, anchoring is about grounding yourself — finding stability and calm when your thoughts or feelings feel overwhelming.
So Anchored Thoughts is exactly that:
Gentle tools and reminders to help steady your mind when life feels a little stormy.
It’s about taking a pause, reconnecting with yourself, and finding calm in the present moment.
For years I struggled with my own mental health. I think it’s more important we can say this more openly… It’s Okay not to be Okay.
During one particularly difficult period — while navigating grief and some particular difficult moments — I realised how much the smallest tools can help.
Simple things that help you breathe again when things feel overwhelming.
That’s when I felt there was a real need for this.
So I decided to bring together some of the techniques and comforts that helped me, all in one place.
Why I created this
And that’s how Anchored Thoughts were born.
What is an Anchored Thoughts box?
Each Anchored Thoughts Self-soothe box is designed to be a moment of calm in your real world— a gentle invitation to pause and take some much needed YOU time.
Because the truth is:
YOU matter
YOU are worth the time and care.
There will also be comforting items to help regulate the senses, such as and not limited to:
Keyrings, pocket hugs and bracelets
Colouring sheets with colouring pencils (when you need creative calm)
Soft sensory items, pom poms, stress balls
Ear plugs for when you just need a bit of quiet
Note pad and pen
Pin badges, stickers
A small keyring with space for you to add your own affirmations. quotes or useful numbers
A craft activity (because well it wouldn’t be a right to leave the one thing out that by far got me into this in the first place. It helped me so I added it for you to try too.)
oh and because a little kindness never hurts there may be a little sweet treat from me ;)
*(Contents may vary)
Inside each box you’ll find a thoughtful collection of grounding tools, including:
Cue Cards (deck) with breathing techniques and affirmations, pocket-sized reminders that fit easily into purses or wallets
Some posters
Featuring my own artwork designed to encourage calm and reflection
Mental health check-in sheets
A helpful card and poster with useful contact numbers and details of some charities to reach out to in difficult moments.
Who is it for?
Designed for anyone who needs a moment of calm.
Whether you’re buying one for yourself, supporting a friend, or reminding someone they aren’t alone, my hope is that each box becomes a small anchor when life feels overwhelming.
